One for the boys . . . Michael Cane

STATS:  Michael Cane is the most British actor every to come out of Britain. That accent has been heard in cinemas worldwide. He is still going strong having recently starred in mind blower ’Inception’. He has been mimiced by many commedians and the phrase “Not alot of people know that” has been done to death by Paul Whitehouse.

QUOTE:  “Oh, what a shock. My career must be slipping. This is the first time I’ve been available to pick up an award.”

STYLE: Cane is a national treasure and is kitted out by Saville row. Smoking jackets, paisley scarfs, loafers and tie pins are all housed in his vast wardrobe.

Feathers tip -  Need glasses? Pick frames that make a statement and don’t shy away from something just because it isn’t ‘trendy’.

Cane is much loved and immitated and has the very stylish quality of being able to laugh at himself.

One for the boys . . . Duke Ellington

STATS:  Duke Ellington was one cool cat. He didn’t settle from just being an amazing pianist, he pushed himself to take on the role of composer, and arranger of his orchestra and broke boundaries in Jazz music. He used his natural ability to make an impression on the industry he worked in winning  awards all over the place.

QUOTE:  “Love is supreme and unconditional; like is nice but limited.”

STYLE:  Ellington was dapper. Suits were his uniform when he performed. He sometimes mixed it up with a different necktie or hankerchief but ultimatley he stuck to what he know. He made it all about the music, not the designer suit.

Feathers tip – Dont let your clothes overshadow your talent or personality.

Ellington kept the focus on the orchestra and the music instead of on silly costumes and gimmicks.
